An SME enabling other SMEs. We build the tools that let South African businesses run smarter, stay compliant, and grow with confidence.
Kujalia means enablement. It's the idea at the heart of everything we build: giving business owners the capabilities they need to focus on what they do best, while the platform takes care of the accounting, compliance, payroll, inventory, and everything in between.
We chose the name because we believe enterprise-grade tools shouldn't be reserved for large multi-national corporations. Every small and medium business in South Africa deserves software that works as hard as they do.
Kujalia was founded in 2025 with a clear mission: to build a single, integrated platform that covers the full spectrum of business operations for South African SMMEs — from issuing your first invoice to filing your annual SARS returns.
Our founding director was a pioneering e-commerce developer in the 1990s, at a time when online commerce was still finding its feet. Over the decades that followed, he built deep expertise across e-commerce platforms, content management systems, CRM, billing and subscription management, payment processing, and customer service operations.
That breadth of experience — spanning the full lifecycle of how businesses acquire, serve, and retain customers — is what makes Kujalia different. We didn't set out to build just an accounting tool or just an invoicing app. We set out to build the platform we wished had existed for every business we've helped run over the past three decades.
IFRS for SMEs, SARS e-filing, POPIA, B-BBEE — South African businesses face a heavy regulatory load. We bake compliance into the platform so you don't have to think about it.
Accounting, invoicing, inventory, payroll, CRM, POS, procurement — it all belongs in one place. No more stitching together disconnected tools.
Our infrastructure runs in Cape Town. Our tax tables are local. Our workflows are designed around the way South African businesses actually operate.
Multi-tenant security, role-based access control, audit trails, and AI-assisted automation — features that were once out of reach for small businesses. Not anymore.
